FN America offers a full-time, paid summer internship program to students that will provide interns with a practical real-world, career-related experience within a professional setting. Our program offers an opportunity for students to apply the knowledge and theories learned in the classroom to the world of work. Our goal is to ensure that interns have a productive and positive learning experience.


As an EHS Intern, you will:

  • Conduct statistical analysis of incidents by ranking probability, severity, and frequency of failure modes.
  • Identify and provide guidance to address unsafe behaviors.
  • Be able to track improvements through statistical analysis of incident and Good Catch Pareto data.
  • Assist the EHS department in launching FNA's Behavior Based Safety Program using Pareto data to identify trends and solutions for at-risk behavior, create an observation checklist, develop training for the new program for BBS Coaches, and develop a BBS Managing for Daily Improvement (MDI) board for Tier 1 and Tier II meetings.

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Microsoft applications.
  • The ability to effectively communicate to various levels of the organization.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

Preferred Degree Program: Occupational Safety and Health or Psychology.


Internship Program Dates: May 13-August 2, 2024 (12 weeks)


Eligibility

The intern must:

  • Be a full-time enrolled student, in good standing with an accredited educational institution.
  • Be an undergraduate (rising Junior or senior) or graduate student.
  • Have a 2.8 GPA or higher with no academic or corrective action on record.

Working Conditions

Typical office environment with some travel between buildings and to other locations required. May be exposed to loud noises, toxic chemicals, and dangerous machinery when on the plant floor.
