Job Summary

Information Technology Services is responsible for installation and maintenance of Exegy’s corporate computer systems, endpoint deployment, and providing support through a service desk function.


This role will involve actively contributing to the day-to-day operations of desktop and server support, covering areas like application support, Windows and Linux server support, AWS and GCP management, laptops and desktops, Office 365, Active Directory, account management, storage, backups, and a range of other technologies and tasks.


We're on the lookout for someone with strong troubleshooting skills, a knack for learning new technologies, and a great team spirit.


Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for both hardware and software throughout the organization including St. Louis, New York, London, Belfast, Manila and other remote locations
  • Create and verify backups of data
  • Perform systems administration functions for Linux, Windows, and Mac
  • Integrate aforementioned operating systems into Active Directory domain
  • Manage VMware clusters and KVM hosts
  • Review system and application logs
  • Install and test computer-related hardware and software
  • Conduct ongoing performance and capacity management of installed base
  • Implement and maintain proper security for all installed systems
  • Respond to and resolve help desk requests
  • Manage implementation of services provided by external vendors (e.g., Cloud service providers)
  • Plans, implements, and supports the network and computing infrastructure
  • Assists in development of ongoing IT and Operations technology planning and research


Our Ideal Candidate Has:

  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience as a systems administrator of Windows, Linux and other operating systems
  • Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or relevant industry experience
  • Cloud knowledge, AWS/GCP, a strong plus
  • Scripting in Powershell, Bash, Perl, PHP, and/or Python
  • Strong understanding of VPN's and their configuration
  • Strong understanding of DNS and DNS administration; InfoBlox a plus
  • Remote access configuration and management
  • Understanding of change management
  • Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team
  • Understanding of Layer 2 switching
  • Understanding of Docker and other container systems
  • Excellent team building and communication skills
