Description

Daily administrative projects under the direction of the director of development. This role is essential in coordinating a variety of administrative service, fundraising projects, community engagement activities, and volunteer management services for the board and staff. This is a 37 hour a week position with at times being 40 hours a week as needed.


Starting salary for entry level with meeting all qualifications is $20.79 an hour.


Benefits:

80 hours paid vacation after 90 days of employment, and up to 160 hours with service time.

80 hours of paid sick time during the first year of employment with an accumulation of up to 480 hours.

Sample Job Duties:

Administrative Support

a. Prepare correspondence, manuals, meeting packets, and general communications.

b. Assist with recording meeting minutes, and handling meeting arrangements.

c. Function as receptionist for Foundation staff and activities.

d. Complete special projects.

e. Direct mail and research projects as needed.

f. File management.

g. Assist with grant writing as assigned.


Donation Processing

a. Responsible for receipt and data entry of all donations in Raiser’s Edge within 48 hours of gift receipt.

b. Acknowledgement letters mailed within 72 hours of gift receipt.

c. Preparation and distribution of Raiser’s Edge month end reports by the 3rd day of each month.

d. Handle deliveries of documents and donations as needed.

  • Coordinate, recruit, train and supervise volunteer groups.
  • Assist with coordination of the annual employee fundraising campaign.
  • Lead annual community engagement campaigns through projects with volunteers, civic groups, clubs, associations and corporations with the annual expectation of a minimum of 18 presentations.
  • Coordinate rentals and manage schedules for meeting space and facilities as requested.

Requirements

Associate degree required with demonstrated experience in development, administrative services or volunteer coordination that demands independent judgment and discretion. Experience with computer systems and ability to understand and operate various related software necessary to carry out job functions. Valid driver's license and be able to provide own transportation.
