Connect for Health has a great opportunity for a Senior Product Manager.


Connect for Health Colorado is a public, non-profit entity established by the Colorado General Assembly in 2011 to create a health insurance Marketplace. Since 2013, we’ve been helping individuals, families and small employers compare plans, apply for financial help and buy health insurance. As Colorado’s official health insurance marketplace, we are the only place to apply for financial help to lower the monthly cost of premiums. Customers can shop online; get help by phone or online chat from Customer Service Center representatives; and access expert help from a statewide network of certified Brokers and community-based Assisters. Position Summary:


The Senior Product Manager is responsible for ensuring that Connect for Health Colorado’s products match the evolving needs of our business and our customers. They are responsible for creating, maintaining, and communicating the vision of our products leveraging inputs from stakeholders, business partners and customers. This role is a key influencer in our product strategy development and will contribute significantly to team planning. The role offers an opportunity to make business-critical decisions that will impact and improve our customer experience while aligning with our long-term goals. The Senior Product Manager must be closely in tune with customers and stakeholders to understand their needs and lead the teams to find workable solutions for meeting those needs. This role is also responsible for leading, mentoring and developing a team of product owners and business analysts to support the product roadmap. 


The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and managerial skills and can prioritize well, communicate clearly, and have a consistent track record of delivering results by applying customer insights and data, and measuring outcomes. 


Position Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a shared vision and strategy for your product area that motivates and inspires your team, peers, and leadership, and support multiple scrum teams in executing on that vision.
  • Responsible for creating, maintaining, and communicating product roadmaps focusing on functional solutions and customer centric improvements.
  • Lead, mentor, coach and develop product owners. Responsible for managing and promoting professional development for team members as well as advocate for team needs and opportunities.
  • Participate in and lead strategic planning sessions focused on project implementation and product growth. 
  • Drive execution and delivery by managing dependencies and plans across product teams and departments.
  • Analyze product data and make iterative product changes based on customer and stakeholder feedback while measuring value through performance metrics.
  • Keep up to date on market and customer trends to identify new areas of opportunity, competitive advantages, and risks for applicable products.
  • Develop proof of concept designs and experiments to support new product offerings and expansion. 
  • Support multiple projects simultaneously. Projects span across various business units to include security, compliance, and customer experience enhancements.
  • Partner with subject matter experts in policy, operations, and sales to enhance product vision, feature requirements and areas of opportunity.
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with business stakeholders and implementation partners which may include external entities such as the State or other organizations.
Requirements

  

Position Requirements:

  • Colorado resident.
  • Preferred bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, or related field or equivalent years of experience.
  • Minimum 6-10 years of product management experience required. 
  • Product Management and/or Agile Certification. 
  • Agile SDLC experience required. 
  • Prior management experience required. 
  • Experience building customer-facing products and platforms. 
  • Experience building, maintaining, and enhancing product roadmaps. 
  • Experience developing and maintaining user personas, empathy maps, and business cases.
  • Effective communication, ability to listen and understand complex business scenarios, as well as gain agreement on forward direction from competing interests.
  • Ability to understand and develop big-picture strategies and break them down into actionable tasks.
  • Ability to work within a very fast-paced, quickly evolving organization, manage multiple, complex priorities, and respond effectively to change.
  • The candidate must also have demonstrated success working with a wide range of stakeholders.


Work Environment:

  • Currently working remotely.
  • The Connect for Health Colorado office is in the North Tech Center area of Denver, near the intersection of I-25 and I-225.
  • The work schedule may include some non-traditional hours, weekends, and evening events.
  • Core office hours, typically 8am-5pm with some flexibility.

Connect for Health Colorado offers a competitive benefits package.  Employees are offered a robust benefits package and may elect from various offerings to tailor a package best suited to their individual needs.  Connect for Health Colorado employees are eligible to participate in the organization’s 403(b) plan and are additionally provided with paid time off, short- and long-term disability, and life insurance.  The Salary range for this position is  $104,200 - $139,000.
