Position Summary

Assists the Finance team with the organization’s accounting and financial responsibilities. This position will assist in a broad base of finance and accounting responsibilities: financial reporting, journal entries, month-end close, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll. Position requires hands-on duties for all accounting aspects. Reports directly to Finance Director.

Main Responsibilities

· Provide support to Director of Finance

· Review employee expense reports and enter details into QuickBooks.

· Perform credit card expense reconciliation.

· Handle A/R deposit entries.

· Assist with A/P functions.

· Enter bills and invoices into QuickBooks; process payments.

· Assists with onboarding new hires and responding to various requests from employees

· General office functions

· Answer incoming calls and route to appropriate employees. Greet visitors as needed.

· Maintain organized office filing systems; scan items to server.

· Run errands as needed.

· Other projects assigned as needed.


· High school diploma or GED; some college preferred with emphasis on general accounting principles.

· QuickBooks data entry experience.

· Excel Proficient

· Experience in Non-Profit preferred, but not required.

· Strong attention to detail.

· Ability to work independently.

         -  High degree of autonomy, yet team oriented with ability to work cross-functionally

· Strong time management and organization skills.

· Ability to multi-task while working in a fast-paced environment.

· Some reimbursed travel to the Burton Location as needed for all staff events. 


Pay range for this full time, hourly position is $18-20 per hour. This position has flexibility in the work schedule and can accommodate a regular work week between 30-40 hours, Monday through Friday, and between the hours of 7:30am to 5:30pm.
