Senior Industrial Engineer

The Sr. Industrial Eng. role will be responsible for helping lead efforts in conjunction with leadership to increase productivity and maximize efficiency (Distribution, warehouse, production areas, etc.). As the Senior Industrial Engineer, you will play a crucial role in driving our company's growth through your expertise in Logistics Design, automation, and WMS/WCS implementations. You will lead and contribute to projects that enhance operational efficiency, optimize processes, and support the successful implementation of cutting-edge technologies.


Primary responsibilities:


Logistics Design and Execution:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement efficient layouts for logistics and warehouse operations.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for proposed logistics design initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in all logistics design activities.


Automation Strategy and Implementation:

  • Develop and execute automation strategies to streamline operations and enhance productivity.
  • Identify opportunities for the integration of robotics and other automated solutions.
  • Work closely with vendors and internal teams to implement automation technologies effectively.


WMS/WCS Integration:

  • Lead the integration of Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Warehouse Control System (WCS) solutions.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure seamless communication between WMS/WCS and other enterprise systems.
  • Optimize warehouse processes through effective WMS/WCS utilization.


Process Optimization:

  • Conduct time and motion studies to identify areas for process improvement.
  • Implement lean/TPS methodologies to optimize workflow efficiency.
  • Continuously monitor and analyze key performance indicators to identify opportunities for improvement.


Team Mentoring and Collaboration:

  • Support a team of industrial engineers, providing guidance and mentorship.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, IT, and Project Management to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the Industrial Engineering department.



Requirements

 

Education / Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Science or related field.
  • 7 – 10 years’ experience in Logistics Design, Automation, and WMS/WCS implementations.
  • Strong project management skills with a track record of successful project delivery.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, simulation tools, and project management software.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base pay offered will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for additional benefits to the base pay range listed above.
