Description

The Center for Pregnancy Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of providing support to CFP volunteers including recruitment, coordination, training, and supervision.


Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a strategy to recruit, train, and motivate volunteers for meaningful ministry service at the Center
  • Work to create an environment and experience that promotes the multiplication of volunteers
  • Take initiative in meeting the needs of volunteers including timely response to volunteer inquiries
  • Interview and place volunteers in roles according to their unique gifts and abilities
  • Assist volunteers through the onboarding process
  • Develop and implement new volunteer training workshops
  • Maintain volunteer schedule and ensure the Center is properly staffed to meet current needs and demand
  • Create methods for consistent volunteer recognition
  • Prioritize volunteer engagement through timely communication and consistent check-ins
  • Coordinate annual volunteer appreciation event 
  • Maintain volunteer database
  • Daily administrative duties including email, calendar upkeep
  • Assist with special events

  • Change Agent - ability to improve processes
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Solid working knowledge of technology tools including computers, apps, and database management software
  • Ability to train and develop volunteers
  • Ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing, bi-lingual in Portuguese or Spanish is a plus
  • Flexibility in schedule with some weeknight and weekend required responsibilities
  • Support the mission and beliefs of First Orlando
  • Love moms and families and strive to point them to Jesus

Education and Experience

  • AA Degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Prior administrative experience

Physical Requirements


The work is performed mostly in an indoor environment but may require being outside in the

heat/weather during special events. While performing the duties of this job, the employee might

be required to sit for long periods of time, walk, stand and squat; talk or hear both in person

and by telephone; reach with hands and arms; and lift both children and objects weighing up

to 15 lbs.
