Project Manager
Description

About the role: 

Project Managers provide leadership to ensure the successful delivery of projects, from Preconstruction handoff to project completion, as measured by client satisfaction, schedule adherence, budget maintenance, and profitability. You must be a strong manager of people, process, and projects, with a proven track record of cultivating positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders. This includes Superintendents, Project Executives, owners, owner representatives, developers, designers, subcontractors, vendors, and government agencies. 


Essential Functions: 

  • Identify project risks and proactively mitigate potential negative outcomes.
  • Write scopes of work into subcontract exhibits.
  • Create accurate monthly financial projections and monthly Cash Flow Analyses for the project.
  • Partner with the project Superintendent and lead the project as necessary to maintain the project schedule.
  • Ensure the safety of workers and compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors and vendors to fulfill conditions of agreements.
  • Manage Project Closeout including holding initial meetings with owners regarding the closeout process and then managing the project team to ensure a timely Closeout.
  • Train and mentor PE and APM direct reports to create leverage and opportunities for others. 
Requirements

Education and Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of construction management experience with a General Contractor. 
  • Experience in a lead role with a variety of ground-up product types – including commercial, mixed-use, multi-family, medical office, senior living, and/or institutional healthcare with budgets up to $40,000,000. 
  • Proficiency using industry standard Project Management software (Brinkman Construction utilizes Autodesk, CMIC, Asta Powerproject, Bluebeam, and MS Office).
  • Well-versed in language and inherent risk in standard owner contracts and subcontracts.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and solutions-driven leaders.
  • Effective communicators and collaborative relationship builders with a demonstrated ability to support business development.

Salary: Minimum of $98,000 annually. Salary is commensurate with technical skills and experience.
