Hybrid Construction Project Manager / Project Superintendent

Description

Hudson Meridian is seeking a qualified, skilled and results driven Construction Project Manager / Superintendent hybrid for a role that is focused on NYS counties from Westchester up to Warren County, though most heavily situated in and around Albany and Schenectady.


It is necessary to have a strong and proven background in on-call contract management managing multiple projects ongoing concurrently. Must have the ability to be on site in those counties.


Experience should include the following:

  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and verbal/written communication skills required
  • Able to work independently as well as in a collaborative team-oriented environment
  • Experience supervising Subcontractors
  • Experience estimating required staff time to establish staff budgets per project
  • Flexibility to effectively deal with dynamic project priorities and timelines through analytical problem-solving
  • scheduling, cost control and personnel management
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Sound judgment
  • Computer skills for scheduling, estimating, and administrative responsibilities
  • Assist with project specific cost estimating
  • Manage site logistics
  • Development of job hazard analysis for projects
  • Review of safe work practices with labor force prior to project commencement
  • Holding daily safety meetings with crew & documenting those meetings
  • Incident / Accident reporting
  • Performing routine site and safety inspections
  • As a member of the Operations Team, participate in the management of daily operational issues, including long-term planning and resource coordination, identifying and improving procedures, ongoing project support
Requirements

Education & Certifications:

  • Required - B.S Degree in Architecture, Engineering or related construction discipline preferred
  • Required - Minimum of five (5) years of responsible experience in construction management, including project management, site management, equipment
  • Required - OSHA 30 Certificate completed within past 5 years
  • Computer skills for the Microsoft Suite, P6 (or MS Project)
  • Desired - PMP or CCM certifications
  • Desired - Site Safety/SST
