Primary purpose: Provide project-management support for a large federal-government task order contract. Work with Program Manager, Task Leads, and the client to plan and manage work across the task. Drive scope, team, schedule, budget, and quality aspects to achieve project objectives and deliverables under Lantana’s high performance standards. 


A successful candidate will: 

  • Apply industry best practices for managing projects
  • Be a task-management and tracking expert
  • Communicate effectively with clients, management, and staff
  • Work with project team to identify risks and develop mitigation strategies
  • Juggle competing demands and prioritize work effectively
  • Organize, direct, and coordinate the planning and production of contract delivery with assistance from Task Lead
Requirements

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor of Arts or Science degree 
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification 
  • Nine (9) or more years of experience managing mid- to large-scale projects 
  • Experience managing government contracts for consulting services in Health IT/Informatics, Public Health Informatics, Healthcare, or another technical field
  • Experience managing various project types, including complex software-engineering projects 
  • Knowledge of Agile scrum methodology and JIRA 
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills 
  • Experience with public health, healthcare systems, and/or Health IT projects  
  • Ability to work within a challenging environment across multiple, diverse teams 
  • Ability to successfully complete a federal Position of Public Trust background investigation


Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience managing projects for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) or Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) 
  • Experience with CDC’s National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Project and Excel 
  • Experience working in a remote, distributed environment 
  • Current, completed federal Position of Public Trust background investigation
