JOB SUMMARY


We are searching for an experienced Commercial Flooring Project Manager, primarily in the Multi Family industry. This is an "in office" position. This position requires an individual to direct and coordinate a process for project completion within the scope of work, budget, and creating an exemplary working relationship with the customer encompassing our commitment to organization and professional service. This individual must be a self- starter, possess excellent communication skills, be well-organized and know how to manage time efficiently.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Manages daily operations including working with the general contractor staff and subcontract installers.
  • Plans, directs, and coordinates installation of projects to ensure that goals and objectives of project are accomplished within prescribed time frame and budget parameters by performing the following duties.
  • Reviews or assists in reviewing project proposal or plans to determine time frame, scope of work, procedures for accomplishing project and available resources.
  • Work with management & staff to negotiate contract changes.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures as well as contract plans and specifications
  • Coordinate or assist with project activities with company personnel
  • Review status reports and modifies schedules or plans as required for review
  • Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems
  • Responsible for and assisting with the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation or the project: including safety, resources, performance, budget, scheduling, equipment management, quality, and risk analysis
  • Manages the process to ensure that documented commitments made in the developmental phases of a project are implemented at the proper time
  • Reviews and approves vendor pay estimates, material requests and invoices
  • Attends project status meetings and assists in problem solving efforts
  • Work with and be part of the estimating/bid process during project procurement phases
  • Assume additional responsibilities as directed by division and corporate management. Travel as required to attend, but not limited to, meetings, site visits, training, etc
  • Track and maintain up to date inventory for all jobs managed


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company guidelines, policies and procedures, and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Requirements
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • High School graduate or equivalent required.
  • 7+ years of management experience in the commercial new-remodel construction industry
  • 5+ years of Project Management construction experience required in commercial industry, preferably in the flooring industry.
  • RFMS experience
  • Commercial Construction Experience
  • Analytical/ Budgeting/ Estimating skills
  • Commercial Build-out /TI management & estimating experience
  • Scheduling Expertise
  • Communication skills
  • Negotiating & Contract experience
  • Ability to work well with a small team
  • Impeccable organizational skills
  • Relationship building experience with owners around the area
  • Bilingual is a plus
  • MS 0365 knowledge (heavy Excel)
