Description


JOB SUMMARY 


The Inventory Control Manager is responsible for analyzing product supply levels to mitigate inventory risks and shortages while also improving inventory control procedures.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Maintain inventory stocking levels and monitor inventory transaction processes within the facility 
  • Maintain accurate daily records of goods received and shipments made.
  • Maintain item master and item branch records as they pertain to production and purchasing (production policy, lead times, planning codes) 
  • Prepare analysis on inventory operations, stock levels, and adjustments to reduce shortages or areas of excess inventory
  • Identifying and proposing continuous improvement opportunities to support methodologies, processes, and analysis
  • Prepare and report KPIs related to inventory accuracy and cycle counting (& support physical cycle counts as needed) 
  • Own a weekly inventory variance meeting to drive corrective actions across departments
  • Train new functional team members on Tractivity transactions required to maintain accurate inventory tracking


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company guidelines, policies and procedures, and applicable laws.  Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Manufacturing
  • At least 3 years experience in an inventory management or production role
  • Familiar with inventory management and production techniques  
  • Resource and Project Management skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Able to communicate and persuade at all levels of the organization
