We are seeking a Sports Performance Sales Manager to join our team! 

The Sports Performance Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth, managing dealer relationships, and ensuring excellent customer experiences. Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Sports Performance Sales manager will actively travel to boathouses and regattas to promote NK’s top-tier products directly in the field. This role requires a passionate advocate for NK brands and products, with strong enthusiasm for the sports of rowing and paddling. The ideal candidate will engage with customers, coaches, and the rowing community, demonstrating a deep understanding of our products and their relevance in these sports.



Essential Functions / Responsibilities 

  • Drive sales revenue to achieve sales growth targets across multiple sales channels.
  • Communicate with and develop relationships with international dealers and boatbuilders.
  • Build a network of coaches by proactively reaching out via email and phone.
  • Organize and represent NK at all required Regattas, Events and Conferences.
  • Serve as an in-house expert for all Rowing, Audio, SUP and OC Products.
  • Update and maintain price lists for distribution to dealer network.
  • Plan bi-monthly promotions for sales and marketing outreach – work closely with Marketing, E-Commerce, Web, Social, and Production departments to communicate product promotion details.
  • Travel to meet customers and industry contacts, actively help customers evaluate their current and future equipment needs, and promote the appropriate products (travel requirement is approximately 25%) 
  • Collaborate with the Customer Service team and other departments to troubleshoot product issues, address customer concerns, and effectively resolve complaints in the field.
  • Keep informed of new products, services, competitive product/industry activity and other general information of interest to the NK community.
  • Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned occasionally and may change without notice.

Education and Experience

  • Two years in a customer-faced role, sales experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 
  • Advanced training in recent sales techniques preferred.

Supervisory Responsibility 

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does serve as a coach and mentor for customers and other positions in the company.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

Climate-controlled indoor office with attached manufacturing facility. May be required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, climb or balance. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. 

Hours of Work

Monday to Friday, 40-hour work week. Some flexibility to set 40-hour schedule around core hours of 10am-4pm. 

Travel / Work Location

Hybrid work environment that consists of remote work and regular need to be in the office (minimum 1 – 2x per week for team collaboration). NK’s facilities are located in Boothwyn, PA. Travel is required for trade shows, customer/dealer meetings and other events.  


Most training is on-the-job but formal education and training may be provided where appropriate. 

Pay Rate 

This is a salaried position. Pay rate commensurate with qualifications and experience as well as company size. Annual bonus based on company and individual performance ranges averages 2 to 4% of compensation.
