POSITION:   Festival Drivers

CLASSIFICATION:  Seasonal

STATUS:   Non-exempt

REPORTS TO:   Company Manager

SUPERVISES:  N/A

LOCATION:   On site at Williamstown from June 10 - August 18

COMPENSATION: $23-25/hour

HIRING TIMELINE: Applications to be accepted until the position is filled. Application review and interviews to be conducted starting April 15 with an anticipated start date of June 10 and end date of August 17.


Job Summary

We are seeking a team of responsible and reliable Drivers to join our 2024 Seasonal Staff. Drivers will be responsible for transporting Festival artists and company members in vehicles provided by the Festival between Albany and Williamstown as well as around the Williamstown area in a safe and efficient manner. This position requires a valid driver's license, clean driving record, and excellent customer service skills. Schedule will shift on a weekly basis depending on artist arrival and departure schedules as well as rehearsal and performance calendar.


Primary Responsibilities and Expectations

  • Transport passengers to and from specified locations in a timely manner. This will include regular trips to Albany train station and airport to pick up and drop off artists as well as shorter trips to transport artists to the grocery store and other locations in the Williamstown, North Adams, and Pittsfield areas.
  • Follow all traffic laws and maintain a safe driving record
  • Perform routine vehicle maintenance and keep vehicles clean and organized
  • Communicate with Company Management to receive and confirm driving schedule and instructions
  • Assist passengers with loading and unloading luggage
  • Transport Festival supplies and materials, as needed

  • Adhering to all Festival safety protocols, including any COVID-19 protocols set by Festival.
  • An essential function of this job is in-person work in Williamstown, MA.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy items as needed
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
  • Basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting skills are a plus
