Employment Type: Part Time, Regular
FLSA Status: Non-exempt; hourly
Pay Rate: $90 per mass (additional stipend for weddings and funerals)
Position Overview
The musician will work with music director and/or other music ministers to perform music liturgy duties for the parish
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
- Provide piano, organ, and/or guitar accompaniment for Sunday afternoon mass
- Other Duties as Assigned

- One year’s experience as a liturgical pianist/guitarist/accompanist
- Must be proficient at piano
- Must have very good music sight reading skills
- Must be available Sunday afternoon (additional availability for Christmas and Easter Triduum masses highly desirable)
- Able to work flexible hours
- Friendly with excellent people and communication skills
- Thorough knowledge and familiarity with the organizational and liturgical practice of the Roman Catholic Church
- Diocesan experience preferred
- Preferred Practicing Catholic
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to be present in the parish. The employee is required to be mobile to, from, and within the choir area/section, as well as maneuver throughout the parish facility to attend practice, meetings, briefings, and other work-related events. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
