JOB SUMMARY 

Currently seeking a Business Development Manager to join our team!  This position will handle AL/Panhandle territory.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Collaborate closely with VP of Sales to develop and execute strategic business development initiatives to secure new partnerships and drive growth.
  • Conduct regular market reviews to evaluate progress against targets, identifying areas for improvement, and collaborate on actionable strategies. 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with the cabinet, countertop, and flooring divisions to expand partnerships and successfully introduce new product categories. 
  • Establish and nurture strategic partnerships with key stakeholders including purchasing managers, construction managers, and field personnel.
  • Manage flooring, cabinet, and countertop programs, effectively communicating price changes to builders, proactively identifying, and addressing product drops, and providing expert recommendations for suitable replacements.
  • Collaborate with the estimating department and VP of sales to evaluate new bids, ensuring accuracy and profitability while resolving any outstanding take-off issues.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive go-to-market strategy, leveraging Hanley Wood reporting tools for accurate market analysis and decision-making.
  • Conduct regular field walks with existing customers on-site to assess the performance of AWC installers and proactively address any areas of improvement or customer concerns.
  • Assist with Accounts Receivable department to recover outstanding funds.
  • Attend Homebuilder Association Functions when applicable.
  • Participate in vendor meetings and establish relationships with vendors to ensure a continued level of service. 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company guidelines, policies and procedures, and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

  • Must be able to manage multiple tasks and or priorities and easily adapt to changing situations.
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
  • Confidence and motivation to work toward targets.
