Position Status: Part-time, up to 29 hours per week

Hourly Rate: $16.00

Position Objective

The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining the dish machine, sanitation of kitchen area, proper handling and storing of equipment, and washing and stocking wares to proper standards throughout the shift. 


Duties and Responsibilities:

Key duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


Equipment 

? Understands all equipment and its uses (set-up, breakdown, and operational specifications).

? Sets up daily banquet function equipment, where applicable.

? Keeps current on equipment breakage. 

Safety and Sanitation

? Ensures that all sanitation procedures are followed.

? Complies with all state, local and OSHA regulations.

? Cleans all dishes, pots and pans.

? Performs scheduled cleaning duties.

? Sanitizes floors, walls, coolers, and kitchen equipment.

? Removes trash and cleans trash receptacles prior to lining.

? Maintains personal hygiene to CCAE standards.

? Observes the basic rules of kitchen safety, sanitation and back door safety. 

? Utilizes various chemicals in accordance with Safety Data Sheets (SDS).

Storage

? Stores dishes, pots, and pans in designated areas.

? Ensures proper stacking of glassware in appropriate glass racks and proper stacking of all plate ware.

? Keeps storage areas organized. 

Kitchen Operations

? Performs all posted opening and closing duties.

? Assists in food preparation, when required.

? Communicates with management regarding concerns in the kitchen.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

? Ability to work with different pieces of kitchen equipment and operate industrial machinery

? Must possess a positive, enthusiastic attitude

? Ability to work long hours including weekends, holidays and overtime if needed

? Ability to carry loads of up to 50 lbs or more

? Must wear appropriate uniforms and footwear at all times

? Must have interpersonal skills and good communication skills

? Must have attention to detail and good eye-hand coordination

? Ability to work under stress

? Ability to work cooperatively with other team members and the ability to deliver courteous and prompt customer service
