Self Direction StartUP Coordinator
Purpose:
The Self Direction StartUP Coordinator will support ongoing startup budget caseloads to ensure successful launch of self-directed services. The Self Direction Coordinator FI will assist the Self-Direction Department by completing start up and ongoing budgetary review for individuals receiving self-directed services supported by AIM Services, Inc. The Self-Direction Coordinator will support the departmental personnel with setting up an individual financial account for each participant based on the approved Self Direction Plan/Budget.

Essential Functions:
- Start Up and ongoing budgetary review for self-directed budgets. This includes review of support broker invoices using internal guidance measurements.
- Maintain quality measurement systems and processes to ensure all required FI waiver documentation is acquired and readily available for reference.
- Ongoing knowledge and expertise in ISS regulatory guidelines.
- Train Self-Direction Coordinators on fiscal intermediary procedures
- Support the Self-Direction department by assisting with launch meetings, and families with budgets as needed.
- Complete internal monitoring of all required SD Documents.
- Ensure that FI department staff is maintaining documents for each Self Direction participant including, but not limited to: a current signed ISP identifying the FI as the Self Direction provider of service, a current signed Self Direction Plan, invoices, time sheets and Monthly Summary Notes.
- Support ongoing startup budget caseloads to ensure the successful launch of self-directed services
- Assess ongoing and periodic individualized outcome attainment and provide quality feedback to AIM personnel that foster the core principles and values of self-determination.
Other Duties:
- Participate as an active member of the individuals’ program team and Circle of Support.
- Flexibility of schedule to ensure individual care and program implementation.
- Attendance in participation in workforce transformation initiatives.
- Any and all other related duties as requested by supervisor.
Qualifications:
Associate’s Degree in a Human Services Related Field with 2 years’ experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred; OR High School Degree with 4 years’ experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred and one year as a Fiscal Intermediary Coordinator
Program specific training (provided)
Valid NYS Driver’s License acceptable to Agency Insurance standards. Maintain valid insurance and provide insurance card if using your own vehicle.
