You are detail-oriented, thorough, and creative. You will mentor other team members and lead by example to uphold or raise the QA standard. You work well with both local and remote teams, are a great communicator and take pride in helping build and improve our products and our customer’s user experience.


You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team that is responsible for the quality assurance of new product developments, feature enhancements, and maintenance updates across a range of components. You will work closely with software developers and business analysts or experts to develop test strategies, test plans and test cases for both automated test execution and manual test execution.


You will maintain and extend automated testing frameworks and apply your creativity to leverage automation as much as possible. You are already or will become a product and industry expert in key areas of the trading systems domain, and you will mentor other team members in the domain, products and QA processes.


Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the full test lifecycle, including analysis & design, implementation, test execution and release processes;
  • Manage tasks and projects to agreed deadlines;
  • Risk management of projects, reliable project delivery;
  • Maintain roadmaps for continual improvement;
  • Work with cross-functional team members to advise and ensure appropriate QA occurs;
  • Strong client focus, with an emphasis on quality and stability in line with service level agreements

Our Ideal Candidate Has:

  • 3+ years’ experience overall in software engineering and/or quality assurance
  • 1-3 years’ experience in software development or test automation
  • Capital-markets and/or Financial Services knowledge highly preferred (Trading, Market Data, protocols)
  • Experience using Python and Jenkins (An understanding of C++ is a bonus)
  • Cross-platform experience (Linux and Microsoft Windows);
  • Experience in QA of both UI and API or message-protocol based interfaces;
  • Deep understanding of proven QA techniques and process;
  • Experience of testing of development of financial, transactional or message-based systems;
  • Demonstrable interpersonal and organizational skills;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Degree in Computer Science, Software or Electrical Engineering or other related discipline; or a proven track record of QA and/or software development experience in a similar environment.
