PRIMARY PURPOSE AND FUNCTIONS
In this position, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our data processes within Dataiku DSS (Data Science Studio). This position requires a strong foundation in Python programming and a solid understanding of relational databases. You will work to ensure the efficiency and reliability of our data pipelines, contributing directly to the success of our projects.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain and optimize data flows, scripts, and models within Dataiku DSS.
- Ensure the integrity and quality of data throughout the data lifecycle, from ingestion to analysis.
- Assist in the development and testing of new features, models, or data processes within Dataiku.
- Monitor performance and troubleshoot issues within Dataiku projects, proposing and implementing solutions.
- Document data processes, models, and workflows within Dataiku for internal knowledge sharing.
- Stay updated on Dataiku features and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve project outcomes.
KNOWLEDGE EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- Strong programming skills in Python, with experience in data manipulation and analysis libraries (e.g., pandas, NumPy).
- Conceptual understanding of relational databases and data querying.
- Familiarity with Dataiku DSS or a willingness to learn and master the platform.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to document and explain technical details clearly.
Preferred Skills:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent combination of work experience.
- Experience with version control systems, such as Git.
- Exposure to other data science and machine learning tools and frameworks (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Basic knowledge of data science and machine learning concepts.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 25lbs., for lifting supplies and materials, as needed
- Position continually requires the ability to talk and hear both in person and over the phone, visual acuity; ability to operate equipment, read, and use a keyboard
- Position frequently requires the ability to sit, walk, and stand for extended periods of time
- Position requires limited travel, predominantly for professional development and/or learning opportunities
Hours & Location:
- This is not a fully remote position as we work in a hybrid office environment. This position will be both remote and office-based in Tulsa
- Reliable internet access and dedicated workspace in home
- Ability to travel to attend in-person meetings and work collaboratively with other team members
- There is flexibility to adjust your schedule, and your onsite hours with manager approval
- Employees working remotely must possess good time-management and organizational skills, and be self-motivated, self-reliant, and disciplined
- You must live in or be able to relocate to Tulsa, OK or the surrounding area
- This is a part-time position with an expectation of working 20 hours per week during normal business hours
