Description


Binary Defense is seeking a talented Cybersecurity Project Manager.


The Cybersecurity Project Manager is a client facing role that requires a highly organized person who can lead diverse project teams by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones. A successful candidate will have excellent time management skills with experience managing issues, risks, and project change requests to ensure successful and on-time project delivery.


This role will develop a deep technical understanding of the Binary Defense services and project delivery methods and requires contribution to process improvement initiatives as it relates to improving project delivery.


The position requires a person who can take ownership and lead technical conversations, is deadline oriented, highly responsive, and is able to produce high quality work in a fast-paced environment. Great interpersonal skills are critical to managing client relationships and expectations and to support close collaboration with the Engineering, Sales & Operations teams.


Responsibilities:

  • Full project life cycle ownership: successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation and deployment, to transitioning for multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Manage project scope and changing Client needs.
  • Identify and develop trusted relationships with project stakeholders and sponsors.
  • Proven success in providing leadership for project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones.
  • Be a self-starter. Participate in establishing practices, templates and policies to expand the project delivery capabilities for the organization.
  • Provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks and issues, communicating with the Client and across company leadership.
  • Understand interdependencies between technology, operations and business needs.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, Computer Science
  • 3+ years of Project Engineering or Project Management, or other relevant experience
  • Excellent leadership, communication (written, verbal and presentation) and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated, decisive, with the ability to adapt to change and competing demands.
  • Independently manage multiple projects from concept to completion – Accountability, personal initiative, and integrity
  • Ability to take ownership, set priorities, multi-task and meet tight deadlines.
  • Well-developed problem-solving and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with acute attention to detail
  • High proficiency in MS Project, Excel, Word and other project management tools
  • Performs any other essential function that may occur as directed.

Preferred

  • Experience in the Cyber Security industry as a Project Manager.
  • Experience managing projects of a technical nature, preferably SIEM and/or XDR tools.
