Description

Parkview Services creates inclusive housing solutions to promote stability, opportunity, and community.  We are a non-profit located in Spokane and Lynnwood, Washington.  In addition to our many programs, Parkview Services is a HUD-certified housing counseling agency. The program includes helping first-time homebuyers with one-on-one housing counseling, homebuyer education, and down payment assistance.

Our organization is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Homeownership Program Manager to oversee and direct the program's activities. The ideal candidate will work directly with the Homeownership Program Director and be responsible for budgeting, credit counseling, and pre-purchase and post-purchase education for first-time homebuyers. The candidate will also oversee the activities of mortgage default counselors who assist homeowners at imminent risk of losing their homes.

  

Responsibilities:

- Manage the Homeownership program, including budgeting, credit counseling, pre-purchase and post-purchase education for first-time homebuyers, and mortgage default counseling.

- Supervise and manage a team of 9 employees, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.

- Develop and implement policies and procedures in collaboration with the homeownership program Director to ensure the program's effective and efficient operation.

- Collaborate with other departments and community organizations to promote the Homeownership program and increase its reach and impact.

- Monitor program outcomes and make recommendations for improvements as needed.

- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines.

- Executes monthly billing by funding contracts.

- Interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work.

- Appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

- Assists in completing reports for assigned programs promptly and efficiently. 

- Assists in providing information and referral for households seeking housing services. 

- Attends required training seminars to achieve and maintain required certifications for housing counseling, including, but not limited to, fair housing, lending, and homebuyer education.

- Assure accuracy of data input into a client tracking database.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business, finance, or social work.

- At least two years of experience in a leadership role in a Homeownership program or related field.

- At least four years of experience managing two or more employees.

- Strong knowledge of budgeting, credit counseling, pre-purchase and post-purchase education for first-time homebuyers, and mortgage default counseling.

- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

- Ability to work collaboratively with other departments and community organizations.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
