Purpose Of Position 

Reporting to the Principal, the Director of Client Services will play a pivotal role in fostering positive relationships between our company, its investors, and broker-dealer partner’s wholesale salesforce and their RIA clients with a specific focus on real estate investment. In addition to managing investor communications, they will be responsible for educating and collaborating with our sales team to ensure a unified message is delivered to both internal and external stakeholders.

Job Duties/Responsibilities


  • Leverage expertise in real estate investment to communicate our company's value proposition to our broker-dealer partner and potential investors in a simplified and easy-to-digest manner.
  • Clearly communicate insights into market trends, property acquisitions, and investment opportunities to our stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the real estate team to align investor relations efforts with property investment strategies.


  • Develop and execute an effective real estate investor relations strategy which should include a mixture of travel and follow up with leads.
  • Build and maintain solid relationships with current and potential investors interested in L.P. real estate investment opportunities with CIRE.
  • Communicate financial performance, strategy, and corporate developments related to our real estate portfolio.


  • Educate and train our broker-dealer’s sales team on key investor relations messages related to our real estate portfolio succinctly, as well as being a resource to answer more in-depth questions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with our broker-dealer’s sales team through in-person meetings, conference attendance, and presentations to small and large groups with the goal of helping facilitate the closing process of new investors.
  • Educate the sales team on the alignment between our investment and their success.
  • Collaborate with sales leaders to incorporate investor feedback into business and communication strategies, including marketing material insights for lead-generation campaigns.


  • Travel extensively (2 and possibly up to 3 weeks per month) to meet with our broker-dealer’s sales team, real estate investors, attend or speak at conferences, and represent the company's real estate investment portfolio in the broader market.
  • Deliver compelling and simplified presentations on real estate investment opportunities to broker-dealer wholesalers and their RIA clients, Family Offices, High Net Worth investors, analysts, and other stakeholders to share the CIRE story and opportunity.
  • Follow up and close on leads gathered from meetings, conferences, and other introductions to new investors.
  • Assist the marketing team to create presentation material such as pitch decks, executive summaries, FAQ, and to communicate CIRE/CREIT’s competitive advantage clearly and concisely as a real estate investment manager.


  • Work closely with the finance team to analyze and interpret financial data related to real estate investments and market positioning. Further, create sound bites and takeaways from the data that is easy for our investor base to digest.
  • Stay informed about real estate market trends, competitive landscape, and industry developments.


The position reports directly to Joshua Volen, Principal & Co-Founder 



  • Net NAV Growth (less operations) through the following activity:
  • Managing and building external relationships with CIRE’s broker-dealer sales force
  • Retention of NAV through education and maintenance of existing investor base
  • Managing internal client services team
  • Promoter score from the external sales force.
  • Conversion ratio of interested investors. 
  • Brand ambassador and market perception of CIRE through presentations, speaking opportunities, and support on marketing materials.

  • Proactive and organized work style with the ability to manage multiple to completion and on-time in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. 
  • Demonstrated and growing knowledge base in commercial real estate investment with the ability to interpret financial information, anticipate questions, and solid ability to situationally communicate to terms to stakeholder needs in simple language while also diving into the more in-depth questions, if needed (updates, education, marketing, etc.). 


  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Marketing, Corporate Communications, Business, or related field required.
  • 7 or more years of experience working in client services, business development, sales, or investor relations for real estate or alternative investments, with demonstrated success in engaging and retaining investors with high net worth or RIA experience preferred.  
  • Previous experience in real estate and expertise in the field, specifically commercial real estate (retail, industrial, office). 
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office Suite and video conference tools (e.g. Zoom, Teams, etc.). 
  • Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint is essential (displaying the data visually, data management, pivot tables, etc.).
  • Solid presentation and storytelling skills
  • Ability and availability to travel on a regular basis (2-3 weeks per month) to meet with investors, attend conferences, and a variety of internal/external stakeholders.
