Description

The Alliance Performance Center NOCO Strength and Conditioning Coach is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing a comprehensive strength and conditioning program for female athletes of all ages (5-college age). This person will work closely with the Alliance Performance Center Strength and Conditioning Coordinator to ensure all programs are designed and executed according to standard. This program will aim to improve athletes' confidence, strength, power, speed, agility, endurance, and injury prevention, ultimately enhancing their performance on the field and overall functional movement.


Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement in-season, off-season, and pre-season strength and conditioning programs specifically tailored to the needs of softball athletes, considering their age, skill level, and individual goals.
  • Program design includes 1:1 individual sports performance plans, small group training, and team training. 
  • Lead and instruct athletes in various strength training exercises, plyometrics, agility drills, and conditioning activities, ensuring proper form and technique for safety and effectiveness.
  • Monitor and assess athletes' progress through regular evaluations, making adjustments to the program as needed.
  • Collaborate with the head coaches and APC Instructors to ensure training programs are aligned with overall team goals and injury prevention strategies.
  • Maintain a safe and positive training environment, fostering a culture of respect, inclusion, and sportsmanship.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest strength and conditioning practices and research related to softball and specific to female athletes.
  • May assist with logistical aspects such as equipment setup and maintenance.
Requirements

  

  • Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or a related field (preferred).
  • Current nationally recognized Personal Training certification is required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with athletes in a coaching or training capacity.
  • Strong understanding of the biomechanics of human movement and proper exercise technique.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and motivational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with athletes of all ages and skill levels.
  • Strong work ethic, organizational skills, and a commitment to safety.

Additional desirable qualities:

  • Experience coaching softball and/or female athletes at any level.
  • Knowledge of sports psychology and motivation techniques.
Salary Description
$27 base pay, lessons commensurate with experience
