Job Summary

As the Senior HR Generalist at Renu Energy Solutions, you will play a pivotal role as the onsite HR professional, who is also a key member of the centralized HR team with Swell Energy, our parent company. You will serve as the on-site HR professional, supporting Renu and Swell east coast based employees and working closely with the leadership team. This role will oversee and carry out a wide variety of HR responsibilities, initiatives, and operations and is a unique opportunity to shape and manage the HR function in partnership with the Swell Energy HR team.


This position is a full-time, onsite position located in our Charlotte, NC Renu headquarters. This may include some local travel. 

Reports to Head of HR for Swell Energy and works closely with the President of Renu Energy Solutions. 

Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all HR procedures, including onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle management for Renu Energy; will assist with Swell East employees as well.
  • Stay up to date on local and federal employment rules and regulations to maintain compliance in all HR activities.
  • Manage employee interactions, dispute resolution, and performance management. Main point of contact for all employee relations.
  • Use HRIS (Human Resources Information System) solutions to effectively manage employee data, track critical HR KPIs, and provide analytical reports.
  • Provide daily HR assistance to workers by efficiently addressing queries and dealing with HR-related concerns.
  • Conduct frequent HR audits to guarantee data accuracy, policy compliance, and overall HR effectiveness.
  • Provide assistance with recruitment efforts as needed.
  • Support with administration of employee benefit programs, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and other incentives.
  • Lead and implement HR strategies to increase employee engagement, morale, and retention.
  • Help establish and maintain performance evaluation systems, coaching managers and staff on goal setting and feedback.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to identify high-performing individuals for recognition and future career progression.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create training programs.
  • Provide back-up support for payroll input, audit, and processing as needed
  • Help with the integration of Renu and Swell Energy by using change management best practices and working with Swell HR team

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience as an HR Generalist within technology and field services related industries. Construction and/or renewable energy industry experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of relevant state and federal employment rules and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive and private material discreetly.
  • Successfully managed HR operations, programs, and coordinating functions in a fast-paced and dynamic setting.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to make solid judgments based on evidence and comprehensive analysis.
  • Proficiency in payroll and HR systems and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Dependable, with a commitment to excellence and continuous learning.
  • Proficient in Microsoft and Google suite of applications. Must have strong Excel skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a business-related field or equivalent years of experience
