Hilltop Residential is seeking a Fund Associate to add to our growing team. The Fund Associate will utilize proven modeling, problem solving, and presentation skills to propel ongoing fundraising and investor relations efforts.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform financial analysis including cash flow projections, modeling investment returns, and sensitivity analysis, both project level and fund level
  • Create investor pitchbooks, investment summaries, and related fundraising materials
  • Assume an active role in existing investor relations efforts – quarterly reporting (including valuation and review of quarterly financial packages), capital calls, distributions, investor webinars, and ad hoc questions
  • Develop relationships with current Hilltop investors while looking to expand and establish relationships with new investors
  • Build and maintain financial models, databases, and analytical tools that support ongoing analysis and reporting efforts of the Fund team
  • Respond to investor inquiries in a timely, complete, and effective manner
  • Prepare and maintain due diligence materials and the virtual data room
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including asset management, finance and accounting, acquisitions
Requirements


  • Five (5) or more years of related real estate, private equity, or financial services experience
  • Fundraising or investor relations experience with registered investment advisors, high net worth individuals, family offices, and/or institutions
  • Understanding of real estate valuation models, distribution waterfalls, performance metrics, etc.
  • Willingness to identify, implement, and address problems and install new, better processes that directly benefit the Fund platform
  • Desire to be a part of a growing, fast-paced, and entrepreneurial team
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks at once while operating with urgency, meeting deadlines, and presenting complex information in a clear and concise manner
  • Aptitude for research, learning, and absorbing complex information independently
  • Advanced communication skills (written and oral), with experience cold calling and prospecting
  • Strong financial modeling skills with great attention to detail, and problem solving skills
  • Desire to continuously improve fundraising and investor relations efforts
  • Command of Microsoft Office products; database experience and/or additional programming skills a plus
  • Undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, economics, or business


This position reports directly to the Vice President of Fund Management and will office out of our Corporate Office located at 9651 Katy Freeway, Houston, TX.
