Position Overview:

At Kadean, a Senior Project Manager will oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion. You will be responsible for budgeting, organizing, implementing, scheduling projects, and maintaining client relations. Additionally, you will serve as a mentor, guide, and advisor to Project Managers (PMs) and Project Engineers (PEs) within the team, ensuring their success and development. Your role will involve representing Kadean professionally, embodying the company's core values, and ensuring the overall success of each project.

Key Responsibilities:


1.  Leadership:

  • Represent Kadean in a professional and friendly manner, embodying our core values in all interactions.
  • Serve as a champion for Kadean’s core values and culture, promoting integrity and professionalism.
  • Provide guidance and support to Project Managers (PMs) and Project Engineers      (PEs), ensuring their success and development.
  • Lead project teams effectively, providing direction, guidance, and support to achieve project objectives.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and accountability within the project team, encouraging open communication and teamwork.
  • Master the Design-Build Delivery Method and apply it effectively in project management.
  • Understand and apply the Project Delivery Process (PDP), ensuring projects are executed efficiently.

2. Management: 

  • Assist in the development and execution of the Project Success Plan (PSP) in collaboration with the project team.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, identifying critical path activities and proactively addressing delays.
  • Develop and validate owner contracts, subcontracts/POs, and requested mark-ups ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Lead client meetings to gauge satisfaction and project status, proactively addressing any concerns.
  • Prioritize client satisfaction and find ways to accelerate project schedules.
  • Own the project, taking ultimate responsibility for its success and addressing any issues.
  • Mitigate project risks by proactively analyzing and managing potential physical and financial risks.
  • Visit job sites regularly to monitor progress, address issues, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Be proactive and prepared to address any challenges that arise on-site, maintaining a positive and solution-oriented approach.

3. Safety and Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and company policies, promoting a culture of safety on-site.
  • Visit job sites regularly to meet with project team and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Develop and ensure field staff is administering the project-specific safety plan.
  • Ensure all project-required safety documentation is complete and current.

4. Budget and Cost Control:

  • Develop, manage and control all aspects of the project budget from preconstruction phase through closeout.
  • Responsible for completing project profit projections and WIP reports within the scheduled timeframe.
  • Control project costs and monitor spending closely, identifying cost-saving opportunities and adhering to financial targets.
  • Understand and apply the conditions of Kadean’s contracts and coordinate project billing requirements effectively.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or related field.  
  • Extensive experience in the management of Design-build focused light industrial construction projects. Experience in Manufacturing is preferred.
  • Minimum of [8] years of experience in construction project management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire project teams to achieve excellence.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Microsoft Office Project, and Procore/CMIC.
  • Thorough understanding of construction processes, techniques, and best practices.
  • Knowledge of relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Commitment to upholding ethical standards and promoting a culture of integrity and professionalism.
  • Must be self-motivated and punctual.
  • Must be able to manage multiple tasks and have excellent follow-up skills both internally and externally.
  • Travel required up to 10-15%.

Required Physical Abilities:

  • The ability to sit at a desk for prolonged periods; frequent walking, bending, or standing is necessary. 
  • Must be able to lift 15 lbs at times. 

Working Conditions:

  • This position is primarily office-based with frequent site visits required; working from home or remotely is not applicable.
