The Entry Level Financial Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting financial decision-making processes within the organization. This position involves analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and assisting in forecasting and budgeting activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent attention to detail, and a solid foundation in finance.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis by reviewing and interpreting financial statements, identifying key financial trends, and assessing the company's financial performance.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts, providing insights and recommendations to management.
  • Data Gathering: Collect and organize financial data from various sources, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
  • Reporting: Prepare and distribute regular financial reports and dashboards to relevant stakeholders, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs) and areas of concern.
  • Variance Analysis: Analyze budget-to-actual variances and provide explanations for discrepancies, helping management understand financial performance.
  • Financial Modeling: Build and maintain financial models to support scenario analysis, investment decisions, and strategic planning.
  • Cost Analysis: Analyze cost structures and cost drivers, offering insights into cost optimization opportunities.
  • Process Automation:  Help drive system and process automation projects in finance to help enhance reporting and drive efficiencies through organization
  • Ad Hoc Analysis: Assist with special financial projects and ad hoc analysis as required by management.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large datasets and perform financial calculations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling skills.
  • Understanding of financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement) and financial ratios.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey financial information effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the capacity to think critically.
  • Knowledge of financial software and tools
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to changing financial environments and business needs

Physical Requirements

  • The work environment is the typical office environment. The employee must be able to complete their work satisfactorily in an environment where there are significant distractions, including staff, patients, and vendors walking through and conversing, telephones ringing, conversations carrying over, loud noises, and interruptions to answer questions from others.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee frequently is required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and should do so in a sound and safe manner. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Salary Description
$26-$30/hr (commensurate with experience)
