Insurance Solutions Associate (Business Development)
Description

This role is responsible for business development functions primarily focused within the insurance client segment. Working closely with Monroe Capital’s broader Business Development and Investor Relations teams as an insurance asset management specialist and subject matter expert. The ideal candidate will be a proactive contributor offering sector specific idea generation, product innovation support and insurance analytics development.  


The fundamental objective of this function is to grow AUM across the platform and broaden the firm’s profile within the insurance investment community. She/he will help execute an insurance business plan and have accountability as a facilitator and partner between the investment teams, clients/prospects and the overall organization. 


Responsibilities

  • Engage in the continual development and execution of the business plan, sales process, and deliverables geared toward capital growth and enhancing Monroe’s profile within the insurance channel
  • Generate meetings for senior members of the team through persistent direct calling efforts and email campaigns
  • Ability to interact with external clients and communicate effectively to support bringing business opportunities to a close
  • Work with senior members of the team to represent the firm as subject matter expert for insurance clients and prospects
  • Understanding the firm’s capabilities, products, and services
  • Work with cross functional groups to provide insight and knowledge relative to insurance requirements i.e., reporting, accounting, etc. 
  • Build relationships internally and be proactive in communication and follow up on all meetings and events; ensure accurate, timely record keeping of client/prospect activities using the central CRM system
Requirements

  • Actively use the firm’s CRM software to maintain notes, updates and tracking of potential investors while maintaining a detailed log of investor interaction.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and database management to create efficient workflow (ability to code a plus)
  • Knowledge of Monroe’s product offerings
  • Be an energetic and thoughtful advocate for the insurance vertical 
  • Have ownership in the advancement of this strategically important segment of Monroe Capital’s business
  • Actively participate in team-based training and weekly/monthly sales calls by sharing knowledge, sales activity, and client interaction
