CBRNE Trainer
Description

PSI is seeking a highly motivated CBRNE Software Trainer who will provide chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and high-yield explosive (CBRNE) training support for a wide range of customers. Training support will typically involve classroom-based instruction in the use and application of atmospheric transport and dispersion models, blast effects models, and GIS tools/applications. Domestic and foreign travel are required, and irregular hours may be required.

Requirements

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing classroom-based instruction for CBRNE decision support software tools (training materials provided)
  • Providing general information technology assistance for installing, testing, troubleshooting, and remedying CBRNE decision support software at the DTRA CBRNE Modeling and Simulation Training Facility
  • Supporting CBRNE Decision Support and Training program at CONUS and OCONUS locations
  • Assisting CBRNE Decision Support and Training program’s lead instructors with training material development and updates
  • Participating in CBRNE Decision Support and Training program meetings and workshops
  • Completing a rigorous certification process that helps cross-train the candidate in multiple aspects of CBRNE analysis and decision support and introduces the candidate to the wide variety of requests fielded by Technical Reachback      
  • Coordinating with a variety of customers including Combatant Commands, Office of the Secretary of Defense, Joint Staff, Department of Homeland Security, first responders, and local/state/federal officials to provide tailored analyses and decision support that meet the needs of the customer

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must have an active Department of Defense Secret security clearance
  • Must be located in the National Capital Region to support on-site training
  • Experience with classroom-based teaching and/or training 
  • 5-7 years of experience with one or more CBRNE modeling and simulation tools:
  • Hazard Prediction and Assessment Capability (HPAC)
  • Integrated Weapons of Mass Destruction Toolset-Consequence Assessment (IWMDT-CA)
  • Areal Location of Hazardous Atmospheres (ALOHA)
  • Incident Command Tool for Drinking Water Protection (ICWater)
  • First Responder Support Tools (FiRST)
  • System for Hazard Assessment of Released Chemicals (SHARC)
  • ArcGIS Pro

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Experience with providing support to Countering of Weapons of Mass Destruction missions
  • Experience with instructional design
  • Top Secret Clearance or Top Secret Clearance w/SCI
Salary Description
$100,000 - $110,000
