Power Mechanical, Inc. is seeking a hardworking, career-oriented person of good character to fill an Industrial HVAC Service Technician position within our organization.
The Industrial HVAC Service Technician position is responsible for, but not limited to:
- Operating, maintaining and performing repairs on assigned HVAC and refrigeration equipment and controls, chilled water systems, and various other mechanical, electrical and building systems
- Servicing products and equipment on assigned projects and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Identifying, analyzing, diagnosing, and repairing systems and products.
- Documenting work electronically on each job daily, maintaining files, and submitting reports in a timely manner.
- Planned maintenance of HVAC systems
- Dismantling, repairing and reassembling units, pumps, impellers, compressors, chillers, receivers and evaporators.
- Following all state local and federal safety rules and regulations when storing, handling, and disposing of hazardous waste.
- Complying with environmental standards and following general housekeeping guidelines.
- Determining causes of defects and malfunctions on equipment and repairs through appropriate testing and equipment.
- Performing start-ups and service calls
- Basic electrical and mechanical repairs on equipment
This position requires:
- A minimum of 4 years of HVAC/refrigeration equipment installation, repair and maintenance experience
- Associate’s Degree or equivalent from a Technical / Trade School with a certificate in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning and two (2) years min related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to travel
- Effective communication
- Excellent customer service skills
- Working efficiently and safely with minimal oversight
- Familiarity in using electrical and mechanical testing equipment
- Ability to use hand and power tools
- Prolonged standing
- Regular elevated work above 4 ft.
- Occasional pushing/pulling/lifting 50 lbs.
- Occasional work in extreme temperatures
- Frequent reaching and working overhead
- Frequent work in high noise areas
Candidate should be willing and able to learn, be dependable, and have a good work ethic. This position is fulltime and requires overtime. A candidate with non-essential abilities, such as welding certifications, or who has a mechanical or electrical background is preferred.
