Engagement Manager
Description

The Steinman Institute for Civic Engagement is seeking an Engagement Manager to join our growing team. This role is perfect for an individual who values community and the common good, is a big thinker who gets things done, and loves to work in an adaptable environment. You will do this through community engagement activities and events, communications, and leading projects that provide opportunities to connect individuals in our unique communities.


Job duties include:

  

  • Serve as a creative and energetic thought partner with the Executive Director.
  • Act as the project manager for internal and external activities.
  • Draft and release public statements that outline the goals of the organization and share activities through traditional media and social media.
  • Oversee team that plans and executes community engagement events. 
  • Oversee team that supports, facilitate sand leads community conversations.
  • Oversee the organization of volunteers to expand the organization’s engagement efforts.
  • Act as a community representative to help connect our community through civic engagement.
  • Supervise interns and fellows.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of experience working in areas such as marketing, community engagement, and communications, or equivalent experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree. 

Salary Description
65,000-70,000/year
