What You’ll Do:

The Maintenance Specialist will be responsible for coordinating facility maintenance activities, scheduling contractors, setting up and maintaining preventative maintenance schedules, and coordinating janitorial activities. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Coordinates facility maintenance activities, including repairs, installations, and upgrades
• Schedules and manages contractors to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks
• Creates and maintains preventative maintenance schedules for equipment and facilities
• Conducts regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and addresses them promptly
• Maintains accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, invoices, and maintenance logs
• Coordinates janitorial activities, including cleaning schedules and supply management
• Ensures compliance with safety regulations and company policies
• Responds promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies, prioritizing safety activities
• Communicates effectively with internal stakeholders, contractors, and vendors
• Assists in developing and implementing maintenance policies and procedures
• Identifies opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements in maintenance operations
• Helps with facility and janitorial activities when the need arises
• Performs other duties as needed

What You’ll Bring:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in facilities management or a related field is a plus.
• Proven experience in facility maintenance or a similar role
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in computer applications, including Google Suites, MS Office, and maintenance management software
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in facility maintenance
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Ability to use cleaning and maintain equipment, chemicals and supplies
• Must have reliable transportation
• Maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information
• Ability to maintain a professional atmosphere in a fast-paced environment with numerous interactions and interruption
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with team members and colleagues
