Location: Sodus, New York Disclaimer: Reliant headquarters are located at 10 Benton Place, Sodus, New York. The position will allow for some remote work flexibility; however, an in-person presence at our headquarters is expected. 

Schedule: Monday - Friday. Must be flexible to meet current and future business needs.


General Summary:


Reliant Credit union, ranked one of Rochester's top mid-sized workplaces six years in a row, seeks a Mortgage Closing and Servicing Manager to join our team.

  

The Mortgage Closing and Servicing Manager is responsible for overseeing the closing, post-closing and servicing processes and ensuring all functions are completed efficiently and effectively. Oversees closing and post-closing processes and staff to ensure goals are being met.
 

As a Mortgage Closing and Servicing Manager at Reliant, you will:

  • Manages and oversees all tasks related to the closing, post closing and servicing of residential mortgages.
  • Supervises the quality and compliance of the mortgage and post closing process ensuring secondary market guidelines and all applicable regulatory requirements are met.
  • Implements policies and procedures for efficient and effective loan servicing. 
  • Responsible for approval and processing of various mortgage requests including but not limited to release of liability, subordinations, release of collateral requests, PMI early termination, insurance claims, escrow waiver requests and mortgage discharges.

Requirements
  • A 2-year college degree in business, finance or related program.
  • 5+ years of mortgage loan and servicing experience. Mortgage Underwriting experience a plus.
  • 1 year of supervisory experience desired.
  • Thorough knowledge of current investor guidelines as it relates to Fannie Mae, FHLB, and SONYMA.
  • Strong working knowledge of FICS, insurance programs, real estate taxation, loan payoffs, escrow account functions, credit reporting services, pre-authorized payments, appraisal services and loan assumptions.
  • Working knowledge of federal and state mortgage lending regulations as well as secondary market lending parameters and guidelines. 

Physical Requirements:

  • Use of keyboard, monitor, telephone, and other standard office equipment.
  • Communicate effectively in person and via telephone, video conferencing, email, and written documents.
  • Access document equipment and files above and below waist levels.
  • Sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.
Salary Description
$68,000 - $100,000
