Description

JOB SUMMARY


We are currently seeking a full-time Expeditor to support our sales team. The Expeditor is an hourly position and reports directly to the General Manager with the responsibility to support projects related to residential and commercial sales.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Process customer orders, including ordering material and following up on orders.
  • Effectively communicate by phone or email with customers and sales team regarding the status of orders.
  • Assist with and maintain project overview, product specs, drawings, and floorplans.
  • Communicate with the warehouse or other departments to ensure proper documentation for all sales team's paperwork, drawings, and other documents.
  • Communicate professionally with customers.
  • Answer phones and field calls
  • Provide administrative support to the internal sales team including but not limited to processing customer orders, ordering material (when needed), typing and understanding bid/quotes and pricing.
  • Ensure pricing on all customer orders is accurate.
  • Ensure pricing on subcontractor work orders is accurate
  • Send reminders and changes on any projects.
  • Other sales support duties based on projects and assigned team.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company guidelines, policies and procedures, and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous work experience supporting sales or project teams.
  • Some floor covering or construction industry knowledge a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with an adaptation for change.
  • Ability to verbally communicate effectively with all levels of staff as well as customers.
  • PC experience including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel with the ability to learn custom software programs.
