For more than 60 years, Barton & Loguidice, D.P.C., has provided the civil engineering needs of municipal, industrial and institutional clients across the northeast. We are a growing multi-disciplined firm of professional engineers, environmental scientists, planners and landscape architects with offices across New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Connecticut and Maine.


We are currently expanding our Marketing department to meet the growing needs of our firm and are searching for a Marketing Production Specialist in our Syracuse, NY office. The Production Specialist at Barton & Loguidice will support our technical staff with the proposal development process from start to finish by preparing a wide variety of proposals, presentations, and qualification documents. The Production Specialist position is designed for the person who works independently and with staff to prepare responses to RFQs/RFPs in a deadline driven environment.


Duties and responsibilities:

  • Conduct research for and review of proposal of bid/qualification request documents to determine client requirements and project feasibility.
  • Organize and format proposal sections/pages.
  • Participate in proposal kick-off to plan strategy, tactics, and schedule to deliver proposals.
  • Review and process RFQ/RFP requests to develop and produce proposal packages.
  • Engage relevant internal and external team members to obtain information required to develop proposal content.
  • Edit technical portions; write and edit non-technical portions of proposals.
  • Work with Graphic Designer to create and/or select graphics (photography, charts, diagrams, etc.) to communicate required information.
  • Coordinate all proposal material (graphics, text, forms, formats, sub-consultant materials) for final deliverable; in-house printing and binding as required.
  • Develop additional project pursuit support materials such as presentations, awards submissions, etc.
  • Maintain catalogue of resumes, project information, and photography.
  • Manage correspondence during proposal process.
  • Produce high quality final proposal submittals (digital and paper).
  • Maintain library of proposal material including documents and photos.
  • Develop PowerPoint presentations and other presentation materials for client presentations.
  • Research and prepare award submissions.
Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, or related field and a minimum of 2-4 years’ experience providing marketing services is highly desired.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must exhibit high energy, enthusiasm, positive attitude; articulate and confident.
  • Strong proficiency in writing, editing, proofreading, and layout skills.
  • Experience in proposal preparation and proposal management (up-front planning, win strategy development, proposal design and review).
  • Proficiency in use and application of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, and Microsoft Office; Deltek Vision a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize, self-schedule, and be detail and deadline oriented.
  • Ability to manage multiple, concurrent proposal assignments.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and collaboration skills.
  • Be process-oriented.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Strong data management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and interact effectively with all levels of personnel, including management staff and support staff.

Estimated Pay Range: $22-30/hour.

Actual compensation may vary based on related work experience, geographical location and market conditions, education/training, certifications, and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.
