You’ll be executing, creating, shaping strategy, building out an organization, analyzing and reporting, and evolving the brand’s marketing and demand generation strategy while you're flowing to the work in a very lean organization. Job Summary

The Art Director is a fully hands-on key player on our team, and instrumental in helping shape the Impel brand. This role involves creating and ensuring all creative assets align with brand guidelines. Innovative thinking will be crucial to create a meaningful connection between the brand and our target customer base. This is not your typical AD role - this is a fully hands-on role that executes and creates assets informed by strategic thinking. A candidate for this role exudes curiosity and passion for testing new ideas, loves to actually create and “do” in the trenches, actively seeks feedback to refine and expand concepts, and is eager to embrace new challenges. This person loves doing, thrives in collaborative settings and has an interest in propelling our brand forward through impactful execution of creative work that contributes to the growth of the company.

Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize and execute visually stunning digital designs for various online platforms, ensuring brand consistency and a compelling user experience
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business goals into engaging and effective digital visuals
  • Develop creative concepts and designs for digital, video, and offline collateral that align with the brand identity
  • Collaborate with vendors to ensure high-quality deliverables
  • Contribute to the design and execution of booth displays, banners, and promotional materials for tradeshows and events
  • Work closely within the marketing team to create cohesive and impactful visual experiences that resonate with our target audience
  • Uphold and enforce brand guidelines across all design projects, ensuring a consistent and recognizable brand presence
  • Provide guidance to internal and external stakeholders on brand implementation in various design asset
  • Work collaboratively with the creative team, marketing, and other departments to brainstorm ideas, share insights, and contribute to a positive and innovative work environment
  • Mentor junior designers and provide constructive feedback to elevate the overall design capabilities of the team
Requirements
  • The ideal candidate will be a visionary with exceptional digital design skills, a keen eye for impactful motion design, and a proven track record in creating impactful campaigns
  • 5-7 years of experience in digital design, motion design, social media and tradeshow visuals
  • Successful experience in omnichannel, digital-first organizations
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of high impact design projects, storytelling chops, and video executions
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and articulate design concepts to various stakeholders
  • Proven project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of current design trends, technologies, and best practices
  • Demonstrated background working with Demand Gen and Content Marketing teams. 
  • Ability and willingness as a hands-on Designer on all levels of projects.
  • A B2B portfolio is required. SaaS experience strongly preferred

Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related field
