 POSITION SUMMARY: The Sales Manager (Regional) provides leadership, motivation, management, and evaluation of sales team members. This role will also involve developing, implementing, and maintaining a strategic sales plan while being responsible for all aspects of sales operations to achieve lasting company loyalty.


FLSA STATUS: The U.S. Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) requires employers to classify their employees as being either exempt or non-exempt for the purpose of being paid overtime wages. The essential duties of this job are such that the employee is classified according to the FLSA as an Exempt employee.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Satisfactorily performing and/or achieving the following Responsibilities are essential duties of the job.

· Lead, motivate, manage, and evaluate the sales team members to achieve sales targets and objectives. Provide coaching, guidance, and performance feedback to ensure the team's success.

· Develop, implement, and maintain a strategic sales plan aligned with the company's objectives. Identify market opportunities and establish strategies to maximize revenue and profitability to grow total market share by 1% each year. 

· Oversee all aspects of sales operations, including sales forecasting, pipeline management, pricing, and contract negotiations. Ensure efficient processes and effective communication within the sales team and across departments.

· Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, identifying their needs and providing appropriate solutions. Monitor customer satisfaction levels and address any concerns or issues promptly.

· Oversee multiple manufacturing lines by leveraging effective communication and fostering inclusivity, while adhering to Ascendum's market-oriented approach.

· Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activities to evaluate performance and identify areas for improvement. Develop and implement corrective actions to optimize sales performance.

· Develop and deliver sales training programs to enhance the skills and capabilities of the sales team. Provide ongoing coaching and mentoring to ensure continuous professional growth.

· Prepare regular reports on sales activities, achievements, and forecasts. Maintain accurate records of sales transactions, customer interactions, and sales-related documentation.

Requirements

  EXPERIENCE/COMPETENCIES/PROFICIENCIES – Satisfactorily achieving and/or meeting the following Experience, Competencies, and Proficiencies that are essential duties of the job:

· Experience and/or Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

· Computer Skills:  The employee can use the equipment and software required to accomplish the responsibilities of this position. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Products such as Word, Excel, and Outlook. 

· Proven experience as a Sales Manager or in a similar sales leadership role.

· Strong track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.

· Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to motivate and inspire a sales team to deliver exceptional results.

· Strategic thinking and analytical skills to develop effective sales plans.

· In-depth knowledge of sales techniques, customer relationship management, and market trends.

· Proficiency in using CRM software and sales analytics tools.

· Ability to travel as required.

· Possesses strong attention to detail.

· Raises issues and concerns promptly.

· Possesses strong verbal and written communication skills. 

· Documents work in a clear and concise manner.

· Possesses and maintains a high degree of confidentiality.

· Possesses and maintains an approachable and friendly demeanor.

· Compatible with working branch hours and extended days as needed. 


PHYSICAL DEMANDS – Being able to meet the Physical Demands of the job is an essential duty of the job.

· While performing this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. 

· The position requires the ability to sit, stand and walk for long periods.

· This position requires the ability to stoop, bend, climb, and crawl without restrictions. 

· This position requires the ability to use general office equipment. 

· The position requires the ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. 

· Must be able to safely operate and drive a vehicle to meetings and events (depending on role).
