JOB OPENING

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Systems Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. In this key role, you'll be responsible for maintaining, upgrading, and managing our software, hardware, and networks. Your goal will be to ensure that our technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently, enabling our business to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Specific job tasks include the following:

  • Coordinates with other teams and administrators of system maintenance tasks.
  • Setting up user, administrator, and service accounts for Linux, Windows, and Mac.
  • Maintains system documentation and creates SOP’s.
  • Monitor and optimize system performance. 
  • Install system-wide software for servers and workstations.
  • Evaluates vendor products and makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software.
  • Monitors backups and performs backup recovery when needed.
  • Setup Active Directory integration with Linux and Mac.
  • Create scripts to automate tasks for Windows and Linux.
  • Use cybersecurity tools to investigate, report, and remediate incidents.
  • Keep systems patched regularly using software deployment and patching tools.
  • Creates, monitors, and maintains virtual machines on Hyper-V.
  • Fields support requests and maintain good record keeping in the help desk ticketing system.
  • Provides support for staff for Windows, Linux, and Mac computers.
  • Deploys software using deployment tools.
  • Configures and deploys MDM solutions for Mac, iOS, and Android devices.
  • Supports and performs basic configuring for network switches, storage, and firewalls.
  • Contact support vendors for systems when problems occur.
  • Ability to be onsite when needed for tasks (mostly remote work is available).
  • Helps implement and adhere to compliance frameworks.


Requirements

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 6 years or more of experience professionally managing Linux Servers or Desktops
  • 6 years or more of experience professionally managing Windows Servers and Desktops
  • Bash and PowerShell scripting skills
  • Bachelor’s degree or 10 years of experience in IT Support / System Administration Roles
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting capabilities
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills (written and oral)
  • Hardware installation and troubleshooting
  • Helpdesk Support 
  • Azure Certifications
  • Microsoft Server Certifications
  • Linux Certifications
  • Other IT Certifications
  • Desire to learn and teach others

Salary Description
$125,000 - $135,000 Annually
