IT Systems Engineer

The Systems Engineer is responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of OCR computer systems. This position will install hardware and software to end users, manage various systems and ensure minimal downtime and efficient operations. They also will participate in system testing and recommendations for system improvements.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performs full lifecycle of installation, management, maintenance, and disposal of workstations and laptops.
  • Manages users in Active Directory and Microsoft Azure.
  • Manage Microsoft E365 tenant account, including user account license assignments, Exchange Online mailboxes, Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint files, and Intune.
  • Designs, tests and implements Active Directory Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs) in coordination with System Architect.
  • Recommends and implements cybersecurity policies and practices, in coordination with System Architect.
  • Performs system maintenance and patching regularly within the respective change windows.
  • Maintains adequate clone images and spare workstations for rapid deployment and replacement.
  • Installs and configures hardware in various company locations; revises processes and procedures as needed.
  • Participates in the IT change management process, and adheres to it.
  • Maintains system and application diagrams and documentation.
  • Participates in daily helpdesk ticket resolution.
  • Participates in IT on-call rotation.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science, information systems, or related field, required.
  • Two years’ experience with active directory management.
  • Two years’ experience with Microsoft operating systems and Microsoft Office suites.
  • Experience with software maintenance and testing.
  • Additional education may be substituted for experience.

Physical Requirements

  • The work environment is a typical medical office environment. The employee must be able to complete their work satisfactorily in an environment where there are significant distractions, including staff, patients, and vendors walking through and conversing, telephones ringing, conversations carrying over, loud noises, and interruptions to answer questions from others.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee frequently is required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and should do so in a sound and safe manner. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Salary Description
$70,000 - $90,000/per year
