Wayne Davis Concrete is seeking an industry-experienced Sales Representative that will identify, develop, sell and service customers in our ready-mix concrete markets. Responsible for gathering data on bidding projects, customer service, generating new business, retaining/growing existing business and participating in trade associations and community involvement for assigned territories. Wayne Davis Concrete (WDC) is a family owned business started in 1971. We currently own 19 ready mix plants throughout northwest Georgia. We operate approximately 150 ready mix trucks and employ approximately 330 people. WDC can provide a wide range of ready mixed concrete products to meet the requirements for all commercial, industrial, paving, residential and DIY projects.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Sales:
- Gather all required information needed for WDC to provide a competitive quote for jobs which are bidding for existing/potential customers. Follow up on all bids until project is awarded
- Create a clear business strategy for key accounts. (Increase our market share, protect existing customer base, communicate new value-added products and services, etc.)
- Prepare projected business outlook for assigned territories
- Compile information and prepare accurate sales reports
Customer/Employee Relations:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customer base within assigned territories
- Collaborate with Billing and Credit Departments to provide efficient resolutions to instill customer satisfaction
- Assist Operation Managers, Dispatchers and Technical Services as required for customer service, project status reports, and resolution of problems
- Assist in management of concrete placement as assigned
- Act on leads and referrals while identifying new prospects
- Actively participate in networking events such as; community events, industry events, trade associations, meetings, seminars and non-profit activities to promote the company products and services
- Field customer complaints/problems regarding billing, quality, quantity, and service
- Entertain customers to develop and enhance effective customer relations as needed
- Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to company safety policies
- Meet all safety guidelines when on construction sites and company operations
- Participate in continuing education to be advanced in industry knowledge
- Adhere to company policies

Education/Specialized Knowledge/Professional Certifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
- General knowledge of Ready-Mix/ Concrete products and Building Materials preferred
- Required to obtain an understanding of the Ready-Mix market, competition and business opportunities
- Required to obtain ACI Level 1 Field Technician certification.
Experience:
- At least 2 years of Ready-Mix or Building materials sales required
