Description

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will play a vital role in supporting the health, dignity, and well-being of our residents through clinical excellence and genuine compassion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive resident interviews and assessments to identify medical needs and document findings for physician review.
  • Provide nursing services in accordance with state assisted living standards and the Nurse Practice Act.
  • Participate in pre-admission assessments for prospective residents to determine appropriate levels of care.
  • Complete admission and ongoing functional and mental health assessments.
  • Develop, review, and update individualized service plans based on assessments and changes in resident condition.
  • Administer and document medications following the “Five Rights” of medication administration, and provide prescribed medical treatments as ordered.
  • Monitor residents’ health status, obtain vital signs, and promptly report condition changes to physicians, supervisors, and healthcare proxies.
  • Support residents with medical appointments, physician visits, and coordination of care.
  • Supervise and assist residents with the self-administration of medications and the use of medical equipment (e.g., oxygen, catheters, colostomies).
  • Provide assistance with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming) and ensure prescribed dietary needs are met.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for all services provided, including billing and supply records.
  • Ensure compliance with community policies, personnel standards, and federal and state regulations.
  • Promote resident safety by following all Fire Safety, Disaster Preparedness, and evacuation procedures.
  • Participate in ongoing training, in-service programs, and risk management initiatives.
  • Foster a warm, welcoming, and homelike environment for residents and their families.
  • Respond promptly to resident and family requests and to emergency calls, including from Independent Living areas.
  • Uphold confidentiality of resident health information at all times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
  • Experience in assisted living, skilled nursing, or a CCRC environment preferred.
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
  • Compassionate and professional demeanor with a commitment to resident-centered care.
