Position Vision

A newly created position, the Donor Relations & Stewardship Coordinator will work closely with the Director of Corporate Partners & Stewardship to organize and review data to facilitate decision-making in support of engagement and stewardship strategies. This role will manage our CRM, ensure donations are promptly entered in the system accurately, tax letters and donor recognition are facilitated with the highest standards and peer-to-peer fundraising platforms are up to date and ready for upcoming events. This role will also partner with Director of Corporate Partners & Stewardship to develop and implement high quality stewardship practices.

Key Responsibilities:


Strategic Leadership:

Reporting to the Director of Corporate Partners & Stewardship, this role works to define, plan and implement vision, direction, and strategy including:

· Promptly enter gifts in the gift log system ensuring accuracy as to donor, amount of gift and gift designation

· Process checks, credit card transactions, gifts of securities, and gifts-in-kind

· Prepare appropriate reports for reconciliation of gifts

· Write acknowledgement letters to be signed by appropriate individuals and ensure appropriate content of letters with meaningful messaging

· Work with Director of Corporate Partners & Stewardship and leadership to establish and contribute to the creation of individualized stewardship plans

· Update constituent records in CRM ensuring accuracy

· Ensure BBBSCO operates in compliance with current Stewardship Guidelines

· Report on stewardship-related activities at staff meetings in collaboration with Director of Corporate Partners & Stewardship


Donor relations functions

· Manage donor relations through annual reporting, access to recognition documentation and stewardship activities

· Operate in complete confidentiality protecting the interests of the donor and BBBSCO Standards

· Remain current on best practices in donor relations and stewardship


Administrative support

· Participate in and support development events as assigned

· Establish new funds in collaboration with VP and process them through compliance procedures

· Manage endowment and endowed gift reporting. Produce other tracking and progress reports as requested by VP of Mission & Engagement

· Provide back up to door and phone coverage as needed

· Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Required Qualifications*

· Bachelor's degree

· One or more years' of relevant experience

· Demonstrated competence in complying with detailed and complex rules and regulations

· High level of comfort when dealing with individuals and their money, and an ability to maintain confidentiality when working with these individuals

· Understanding of and passion for the mission, vision, and values of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Ohio

· Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products, Salesforce and peer-to-peer fundraising platforms
