Position Details

We are looking for an experienced Litigation Attorney with a blended background in both bankruptcy and creditor remedies to join our Litigation department. The successful candidate must have exceptional background in bankruptcy, creditor remedies, and commercial/business litigation. Must have strong legal research, writing, and critical thinking ability; excellent verbal and written advocacy at motion hearings and trial; and the capacity to organize, prioritize, and multi-task. Must have a minimum of five (5) years bankruptcy, creditor remedies,  and commercial litigation experience, with the ability to focus on business development success.

Requirements

• Five years of experience with dealing with bankruptcy, creditor remedies, and business matters in bankruptcy, federal and state court actions 
• Experience representing financial institutions regarding bankruptcy and creditor remedies disputes, recovering funds and assets. 
• Experience and advocacy in the bankruptcy courts and proficiency with the bankruptcy code and rules. 
• Experience conducting discovery, including written discovery and depositions
• Experience mediating and negotiating workouts and case settlements
• Prepare pleadings, motions, briefs and other legal documents
• Must have very strong legal writing and analytical skills
