The Applications Analyst is a key member in building Blue Circle Health’s digital health solutions and enabling our scale as we expand nationally to serve more people living with Type-1 Diabetes. The core responsibilities lie in the design, implementation, and improvement of SaaS products used to manage engagement with our T1D community, recruit patients into clinical programs, and deliver care services.

The Applications Analyst will report to the Product Manager within the Information Systems (IS) Department. They will work directly with the IS Department and clinical operations teams to collect and document requirements and user feedback as well as maintain configurations of Blue Circle Health software tools.

This is a full-time, home-based position, eligible for a full benefits package including paid holidays and time off, and competitive pay in a flexible, mission-based work environment. Candidates can live anywhere in the U.S.



  • Take part in gathering, documenting, and fleshing out user requirements and technical specifications for use by the IS team in implementing new features.
  • Facilitate the definition and documentation of clinical workflows for use by IS teams.
  • Configure and maintain functionality in applications that manage relationships and track engagement (Zoho CRM) with patients, the greater Type-1 community, and clinical partners including.
  • Automate and monitor outreach campaigns, implement how to track customer journeys, and integrate with communication channels.
  • Update configurations in EHR (Welkin) and telehealth products used by care teams including data capture forms, workflows, automations, and system integrations.
  • Create and enact quality assurance, user acceptance testing, and technical test plans to ensure correctness of implementations and user experience
  • Stay up-to-date on the care plan, care service lines, clinical objectives, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and care team operations to understand user workflows, needs, and challenges.
  • Work with vendors, research, explore, and experiment to learn how to implement, configure, maintain, and provide user support of SaaS products and applications used by care teams for clinical operations.
  • Contribute to the IS roadmap and continuously improve the full lifecycle for designing, implementing, and rolling out changes to SaaS products.
  • Train end-users and maintain materials on how to use products and applications via presentations, hands-on 1-on-1s, and recordings.
  • Respond to end-user inquiries and assist in troubleshooting and resolving challenges including talking with users, working them through a series of actions to resolve the problem, and following up to ensure resolution.
  • Perform entitlement reviews to validate user access and support incident response handling.
  • Provide technical support to partner organizations as needed (i.e. supporting use of shared technologies) to close any technical gaps that may influence Blue Circle operations and/or patient outcomes.
  • Support IS operations with other duties as assigned.


  • 3+ years of experience implementing and maintaining customer relationship management systems (CRMs) is required.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience as an application analyst or another technical implementation position working directly with users and stakeholders such as in roles as an applications specialist, systems analyst, or project manager.
  • Experience implementing and maintaining electronic health record systems (EHRs), care management systems, and/or patient relationship management systems is helpful.
  • Experience with software development lifecycles, prioritization in agile sprints, and user stories.
  • Enjoys interacting with users to understand their processes and challenges.
  • Enjoys discussing technical details with IT and engineering teams.
  • Ability to communicate technical information in an accessible manner to non-technical employees.
  • Ability to work as part of a remote team, independently or collaboratively, and thrive in ambiguity, remain level-headed under changing circumstances, and withstand the tests of a dynamic environment with resilience and resolve.
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills, including project documentation and capturing requirements clearly.
  • Demonstrable ability to methodically debug and troubleshoot issues with users and IT teams.
  • Demonstrable analytical and conceptual skills to understand complex technical plans and support defining components to break down effort.

Additional Desired Experience:

  • Experience with clinical workflows and operations.
  • Startup experience is beneficial, including non-profit startup experience.
  • Experience with Jira or other project management tools.
  • Experience with Lucid chart or other diagramming tools.
Salary Description
$82,000 - $105,000/year
