Position Summary: The Executive Assistant will provide administrative support to the three C2ES Program Vice Presidents (VPs) who serve as program leads, and will fulfill other administrative duties as necessary. The Executive Assistant will report to the Senior Executive Assistant and will work closely with the Program VPs. 

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Manage Program VPs’ calendars, including scheduling meetings and arranging travel, meals, and lodging as necessary 
  • Manage Program VPs’ expense reports, including collating and processing receipts for travel and other expenses and prepare financial documentation 
  • At the direction of Program VPs, assist in planning and scheduling program events and other meetings as needed 
  • Assist in planning and scheduling organization-wide events and other meetings (e.g., staff retreats or workshops) as needed 
  • Support the Senior Executive Assistant in providing administrative support to the C2ES President, as needed 
  • Other duties as assigned 

Qualifications

  • Excellent organizational skills 
  • Discretion, dependability, and good judgment 
  • Ability to anticipate what others will need and proactively work to provide it 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 
  • Ability to work collaboratively and get along with a wide range people inside and outside the organization 
  • Flexibility and willingness to contribute as needed  
  • Interest in climate change policy a plus 
  • Experience with non-profits or think-tanks a plus 
  • Ability to use MacOS, Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, and Sharepoint; experience with Salesforce a plus 
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience including at least 2 years as an assistant to an executive 

Employment Status: Full time, benefits-eligible; exempt from overtime. 


Starting Salary: $64,000 to $80,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

Travel, Time & Location Requirements: This role can be in person or remote, with a preference for in person, meaning three days a week in the C2ES office (currently in Arlington, VA; moving to downtown Washington, D.C. in September 2024). Remote workers are required to attend periodic all-staff weeks in the office (currently four or five per year).
