Description
This position is responsible for providing supervision to individuals, along with the processes, in the assigned department.
Duties in this position include the following:
- Responsible for the performance of department employees
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff, peers, and upper management
- Training and development of assigned staff
- Must be capable of effectively prioritizing work load
- Maintain the work area in a clean, organized, and safe condition
- Assure that staff maintains a work pace consistent with standards
- Assist in enforcing company policies and procedures
- Inventory control
- Ability to write performance evaluations
- Recommendations concerning methods of improving department performance and processes;
- Maintain a flexible schedule
- All other duties as assigned by Manager-in-charge
Requirements
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to safely utilize various tools in order to process merchandise
- Ability to push full boxes (up to 75 pounds) on gravity conveyors
- Ability to safely walk under trolley rail
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
Other Requirements:
- Basic math skills
- Capable of thinking independently
- Capable of performing under stress
- Ability to use hand held scanner
- Prior supervisory experience
- Computer literate
- Must be able to speak, read, and write the English language.
