Our client, Cloud Storage Security, is excited to announce that due to growth they've opened up a new role as US-based Support Engineer to assist their growing customer base. The primary responsibilities will include troubleshooting and solving customer issues for both our solution and the AWS services we use.

Founded in 2020, Cloud Storage Security (CSS) is dedicated to solving the data security and compliance challenges surrounding cloud object storage. Organizations of all sizes turn to CSS to prevent the spread of malware, classify sensitive data, and assess their AWS storage environment. Our solutions are used worldwide because they fit into any workflow without disruption and data never leaves the customer’s account.

The right person for this position demonstrates a strong aptitude for creating solutions for our customers, always shows initiative, and takes ownership and accountability. This is a full-time position working remotely. 


Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Support: Solve customer issues through troubleshooting, provide product information, and educate customers on every step of the product through email, phone, video calls, etc.
  • Onboarding: Assist in onboarding for new customers with clear communication, and thorough education on our products and services.
  • Sales Support: Serve in a sales engineer capacity as required to support sales through product demonstrations, development of POC plans and troubleshooting during rollout.
  • Continuous Improvement: Regularly educate yourself and others on our product and AWS services using AWS Skillbuilder, etc.
  • Collaboration and Documentation: Work closely with other departments, including Sales, Marketing and Product Development, to ensure a cohesive customer journey and seamless integration of feedback into product improvements. Document and clearly communicate product functionality for both internal and external users.

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years experience in customer support/service with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • 2-5 years of deep knowledge of AWS services and architecture including ECS, DynamoDB, S3, SNS, and SQS
  • Experience with cloud-based antivirus and data classification solutions
  • Familiarity with troubleshooting cloud-based environments and AWS networking (VPCs, Subnets, CIDR ranges, security groups, etc.)
  • Certification in AWS, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect
  • Proficiency in CRM software (we use Hubspot) and customer service tools (we use HelpScout)

Bonus Points 

  • BS level technical degree; Computer Science, Information Technology, or Cybersecurity background
  • Experience architecting and operating solutions on cloud platforms
  • Knowledge on equivalent Azure and Google Cloud services
  • Previous cybersecurity experience

While it is not a requirement, if you are in the Pacific or Hawaii–Aleutian Time Zone that would be a bonus. We support customers all over the world and are interested in someone who can assist customers in the APAC region.

Salary Range: $70,000 - $85,000 


The salary range is a general guideline. Our compensation structure is designed to be competitive with industry standards and reflective of the candidate's qualifications and the responsibilities of the role. We consider factors such as market rates, geographic location, and individual skills when determining compensation.

Requirements

Salary Description
$70,000 - $85,000 per year
