DeBordieu’s Parkland course, which initially opened in March 1987, was most recently renovated in 2014 and plays to 7,261 yards from the Championship tees and offers six sets of tees which provide enjoyable golf for players of all abilities. Noted as one of the designers' favorite designs, DeBordieu has consistently been ranked among the top private clubs in South Carolina. Job Knowledge, Core Competencies and Expectations  

• Knowledgeable about the game of golf and its rules.

• Provides range services to members and guests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Transports range balls to each end of range and fills appropriate containers.
• Retrieves golf balls hit on the Driving Range.
• Place baskets of balls at evenly spaced intervals on range.
• Cleans, moves and refills the driving range baskets.
• Operates tractor and ball picker on range to retrieve balls.
• Washes all range balls daily.
• Clears all trash, including back room work area, tee line, parking lot, and perimeter of the building to the dumpster as needed. 
• Maintains high standard of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing proper and complete uniform.
• Maintains regular attendance as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the Club.
• Actively demonstrates, encourages, and models safety rules and guidance with the law.
• Reports safety or hazard concerns and/or any work-related injury to management.

Physical Demands and Work Environment 

• Required to stand for long periods and walks, climbs stairs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, bends, stretches and twists or reaches. 
• Pushes, pulls or lifts up to 50 pounds. 
• Continuous repetitive motions. 
• Works in a hot, humid and noisy environment. 

Education and Experience Requirements

• Knowledge of golf protocol preferred.
• Country Club or Golf Club experience is a plus but not required.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• CPR/AED and/or First Aid Certification a plus.
