As a Senior Asset Manager, Team Lead, you will oversee a portfolio of loans, ensuring compliance with loan terms and regulations. You will be exposed to a variety of lending products and tasked with monitoring the performance of all assets within the portfolio, tracking the path to permanent financing, conducting risk assessments, providing exceptional customer service, and leading a team of Asset Managers and Asset Manager Analysts. 

The purpose of a Senior Asset Manager, Team Lead role is to ensure optimal performance and compliance with a portfolio of loans, safeguarding stakeholders' interests and fostering financial stability. This position plays a critical role in maximizing asset value and minimizing risk exposure by meticulously monitoring loan terms and regulations, conducting risk assessments, and guiding the path to permanent financing. Additionally, through exemplary customer service and effective team leadership, the Senior Asset Manager, Team Lead facilitates seamless operations and fosters a culture of excellence within the asset management department. 

After one year as our Senior Asset Manager, Team Lead you will know you were successful if you… 

• Help Asset Managers and Asset Manager Analysts navigate multiple areas of the job function. 
• Review and approve draw requests up to a certain dollar amount. 
• Maintain a detailed, working knowledge of each project within the assigned portfolio.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet changing deadlines.
• Manage relationships with the client, credit, and loan origination team. 
• Collect, review, and provide a risk assessment analysis on monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. 
• Monitor projects for compliance within the Agreements. 
• Maintain a detailed working knowledge of lending programs. 
• Perform covenants compliance testing in accordance with the loan agreement. 
• Utilize the centralized database to track project data. 
• Perform site visits as necessary.
• Monitor maturities within the assigned portfolio. 
• Collaborate with the Loan Origination team to provide strategic direction on permanent financing. 
• Review and approve monthly draws for each project and check for project budget compliance. 
• Assist the Capital Markets team as needed with securitized loan requests. 
• Monitor lease up and calculate leasing projections to stabilization. 
• Draft credit memos analyzing the viability of cash flow, validating rents and expenses compared to the market, assessing market risk factors, and possible risk mitigations. 
• Identify opportunities for training and professional development for direct reports. 

What we are looking for in a Senior Asset Manager, Team Lead…

• A minimum of four (4) years of industry experience is preferred with an emphasis on banking/general loan administration and/or real estate financial management. 
• Requires a minimum of a bachelor’s in finance, accounting, real estate, or related field.
• Requires an organized, detail-oriented approach to work balance with a personable demeanor effective at delivering high-quality customer experience. 
• Requires successfully demonstrated problem-solving skills with a self-start mentality that responds well to work pressure and urgent deadlines. 
• Requires the ability to critically think and find solutions when answers are not always clear. 
• Encourages strategic, creative thinking with experience overseeing the process of interpreting data and analysis to support the development of new and innovative applications to managing risk.
